During the week of 10/26-10/30, our school will be formally engaged in Red Ribbon Week activities in which this year's theme is "Respect Yourself, Be Drug Free".
We will have daily activities leading to a culmination activity on Friday 10/30.
Activities Include:
• Monday- Superhero Day! Wear a superhero shirt or cape to show that you have the POWER to say no to drugs!

Tuesday- Give drugs a BOOT! Wear western wear! (Cowboy hat, boots, etc.)

• Wednesday- TEAM up against drugs! Wear your favorite team jersey/shirt/hat

Thursday- Knock the SOCKS off drugs! Wear RED with crazy socks!

Friday- Say BOO to drugs! Wear your story book character outfit!

On Friday, in conjunction with Story Book Character outfit day, we will also hold our highly anticipated, exceptionally well attended annual Story Book Character Parade which will involve the entire school parading through our bus loop in their class themed story book character costumes and the Grand Marshall of the parade will be last years teacher of the year!

Two additional activites planned are our spelling of Red Ribbon Week in Red Cups appearing late in the week of October 19th.

Finally, every teacher is encouraged to engage their students and families in taking part in a Red Ribbon Week themed classroom door decorating activity in which the RRW theme will be combined with the classes choice of story book in order to further promote literacy. A committee will judge each decorated door on Fri October 30th and a class prize (TBD) will be awarded to the winner.
